Gate City High School Baseball Field Access Road

The Town of Gate City, Virginia seeks Sealed Bids from Contractors or Individuals qualified, licensed and bonded in the State of Virginia to construct improvements that will consist of improvements Scott County School’s athletic complex and nearby access. The work may consist of two (2) contracts; Contract A may consist of the installation of a full depth pavement section for approximately 8,500 SF of access road; and Contract B may consist of the installation of 28,500 SF of parking lot.

The Contract Document(s) will contain all Instructions to Bidders and the General Information and/or requirements related to the Project. Note that all sealed bids must comply with the form described in the Contract Document(s) and shall be sealed and clearly marked with the respective contract the bid is submitted for. If contractors bid on both contracts, two (2) separate bids shall be received. Contract A bids shall be labeled “CONTRACT A: ACCESS ROAD”. Contract B bids shall be labeled “CONTRACT B:

PARKING LOT PAVING”. The Bid shall be submitted to Mr. Greg Jones, Town Manager; Town of Gate City; Town Hall; 156 E. Jackson Street, Gate City, Virginia 24251 no later than 2:00PM local time on July 15, 2016 at which time they will be open and read aloud. The successful Bidder will comply with all other measures noted in the Contract Document(s).

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at Town Hall, 156 E. Jackson Street, Gate City, Virginia 24251 at 10:00AM local time on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 to discuss the Project and to answer questions or inquiries related to the project as necessary.

The Town of Gate City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities or irregularities and to select the Contractor or Individual whose bid, in the sole judgment of the Town, is in the best interest of the Town.
