The Town of Gate City will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, August 7th, 2018 at 6:00 pm, at Gate City Town Council Chambers, 156 East Jackson Street, Gate City, VA 24251, to provide an overview, and solicit public input, on the Town’s Virginia Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) planning grant for a town-wide Housing Rehabilitation assessment. Residents are encouraged to attend and provide input on potential areas of focus for housing rehabilitation activities. This project will provide planning for Housing Rehabilitation, Substantial Reconstruction, Demolition, property maintenance, etc. During this meeting, a local management team will be formed to provide guidance for the duration of this planning project.
Proposed project area information, maps, and preliminary assessments will be presented for comment. Planning and Housing Rehabilitation Specialist representatives from the LENOWISCO Planning District Commission will also be present to provide project details.
