Mayor of Gate City Virginia

As we enter this Thanksgiving season it is definitely not like any others we have experience in recent history as we deal with the effects of COVID-19.  However, in spite if it I believe most of us still have plenty that we can be thankful for.  As the mayor of Gate City I am thankful for our town council and those who volunteer their time to serve on the various boards who work diligently to make Gate City a better place to live.    I am thankful for our town employees who strive to give our citizens professional and timely services.

I am thankful that during this pandemic the town itself has remained financially stable.  I am thankful that our businesses have, some with the help of some the government grants, have been able to survive during this time.  If fact, we have had one new business open, Outside The Box, and another one opening in the first week of November, Wildwood on Jackson.  We certainly wish both of these businesses great success.

As mayor, on behalf of the town I want to wish you and your family a happy Thanksgiving!!
