In a few days we will be celebrating July 4th, Independence Day when we take pride in being Americans and living in a land that is free and full of opportunity. Along with taking pride in being Americans we should take pride in being citizens of Gate City!! We as a community have a lot to offer as well.
Now that summer is upon us the town’s summer events are in full swing!! If you are not aware of what is going on then I invite you to check out our website for the latest information.
As people from all over the area begin to come into Gate City to enjoy our festivities, I think it behooves us to put our best foot forward. I already know we have some of the friendliest people anywhere and we always make people feel welcomed into our community but how our town looks to people is important to!!
So, I want to encourage you to “spruce up” your home or place of business. Does it need some flowers to give it some “curb appeal”, maybe a coat of paint or maybe a tattered awning that needs to be repaired? As the old saying goes “you only get one chance to make a first good impression.” I can assure you it is an investment that will pay off in the long term.
